Our 10th European Aromatics and derivatives conference will take place on 22-23 November.
Co-organised with ICIS, it provides an excellent opportunity for delegates to meet up and exchange views in the critical end-of-year period.
It features the usual strong line-up of speakers:
Patrick Thomas, CEO of Bayer Material Science, will talk about the outlook from the viewpoint of a major global aromatics consumer. He will particularly discuss how Bayer’s use of aromatics feedstocks can help to provide some of the answers for tomorrow’s market needs.
Alexander Farina, GM strategy for Shell Chemicals, will give his views on the prospects for the C6 chain.
Martin Pugh, President EMEA for newly formed Styrolution, will review the challenges facing the styrene markets.
Other leading speakers including Bob Young from refining analysts Wood Mackenzie, Fernando Calvo and David Gonzalez of Novapet, Matthew George from Indian Oil, and Paul Vrijhof of Vopak, will give their views on the major issues along the value chain.
In addition, the blog will discuss the likely impact of the New Normal, whilst its blogging colleague and co-author, John Richardson, will question whether China’s growth story is coming to an end.
