ICIS is implementing a process of rolling consultation on all of its pricing methodologies. This consultation paper is part of this formal process and covers all of the ICIS primary price points included in the European Daily Electricity Markets (EDEM) publications.
The consultation asks both general questions about the suitability of the ICIS pricing methodology and questions addressing specific European Daily Electricity Markets (EDEM) market issues.

The consultation contained a section asking general questions about the sustainability of ICIS methodology for the markets concerned.
There was also a section about specific questions on the removal of the ICIS Romanian power assessments due to consistent lack of liquidity.
Summary
ICIS received one written confidential response. This summary takes into account all responses.
The one respondent requested that ICIS retain its Romanian power assessments until the end of January 2024.
Decision
As of 5 February 2024, ICIS will stop publishing the Romanian power Month +1, Month +2, Quarter +1, Quarter +2 and Year +1 Baseload assessments. And the Romanian power trades information will also not be available.
The EDEM methodology document will be updated ahead of these changes taking effect. Should you have any questions please contact EDEM editor Laura Mendes at laura.mendes@icis.com.
