ICIS is implementing a process of rolling consultation on all of its pricing methodologies. This consultation paper is part of this formal process and covers all of the ICIS primary price points included in the polyethylene pipe grade weekly publications.
The consultation asks both general questions about the suitability of the ICIS pricing methodology and questions addressing specific polyethylene pipe grade market issues.

Response
ICIS received feedback on contract price levels reported for HDPE Black 100 PE material and the methodology used for Black PE100 assessments, including a request for the introduction of a PE100 spot assessments in Europe. ICIS will canvas the market and provide a response at the end of November.
UPDATE: After further canvassing the market, ICIS has decided against the introduction of a PE100 spot assessment in Europe due to lack of liquidity.
ICIS continues to welcome any feedback on its Polyethylene Pipe Grade methodology outside of the formal consultation process.
