ICIS is implementing a process of rolling consultation on all of its pricing methodologies. This consultation paper is part of this formal process and covers all of the ICIS primary price points included in the Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) weekly publications.
The consultation asks both general questions about the suitability of the ICIS pricing methodology and questions addressing specific Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) market issues.

ICIS received one response during the consultation, suggesting the inclusion of an index to track Korea-origin Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) prices. ICIS canvassed the market and decided not to add an index due to limited liquidity.
ICIS continues to welcome any feedback on its Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) methodology outside of the formal consultation process.
