New Petrochemical Market Dynamics

Virtual: 3rd December 2024 | Start Time: 7:00 AM London/ 11:00AM Dubai / 3:00PM Singapore

Course Overview

Are you confused by the deepest and longest-landing petrochemicals downturn since the emergence of the modern-day industry in the 1970s? Are you trying to figure out why this happened and what you should do next?

If so, you should join our New Petrochemical Market Dynamics online training course which takes place on 3 December 2024. The course will explain how:

  • Our current situation stems from misjudging China’s demand and capacity growth – demand was overestimated, and capacity growth was underestimated.
  • How everything has shifted, from short-term pricing dynamics to the way companies must now plan their long-term strategies. There will be no return to the Old Normal of the markets in 1992-2021 because of events in China, a much more uncertain geopolitical environment, the global challenge of ageing populations, growing sustainability pressures and the end of debt bubbles.

We are not going to solve the riddles of the world in this three-and-a-half-hour-long Workshop! This event will, though, offer you a new framework for analysing petrochemicals markets.

We look forward to meeting you on 3 December.

Key Course Topics

  • The “New Normal”:  A headline introduction
  • Implications for short-term markets
