More US ports close as Hurricane Ida approaches

HOUSTON (ICIS)–Ports of Baton Rouge in Louisiana and Pascagoula in Mississippi have closed as Hurricane Ida nears landfall in the US.
Earlier on Saturday, several ports in Louisiana closed ahead of the storm.
The following are port conditions as of Saturday night. X-Ray is when tropical or hurricane force storm is predicted to make landfall within 48 hours, Yankee within 24 and Zulu within 12.

Many chemical plants and refineries have also begun shutting operations in preparation for hurricane landfall.
Ida is expected to make US landfall along the coast of Louisiana on Sunday and move inland over Louisiana and western Mississippi on Monday.
