SINGAPORE (ICIS)–Asia’s base oils supply is expected to improve slightly in H2 2024, while a seasonal peak in overall demand is due to kick off in the later part of Q3.

  • India post-monsoon demand to pick up in Sept; China demand to stay stagnant amid economic woes
  • Sluggish demand for Group I base oils to offset impact of tight supply
