LyondellBasell plans Q2 turnaround at Texas PO/SM plant

HOUSTON
(ICIS)–LyondellBasell is planning a second-quarter
turnaround at its propylene oxide/styrene monomer (PO/SM)
plant in Channelview, Texas, the CEO said on Friday.
The company expects to take a $20m hit as a result of the turnaround, said CEO Bob Patel. He made his comments during an earnings conference call.
Patel did not say how long the turnaround would last.
The plant has a PO capacity of 550,000 tonnes/year and a
styrene capacity exceeding 600,000 tonnes/year.
